Little Max is the first patient with spinal muscular atrophy who received systemic gene therapy in the Czech Republic. The drug, the price of which is less than 54 million crowns, will be administered at the Motol University Hospital to two more patients – at the end of May and the beginning of June. The treatment of all three patients will be covered by health insurance companies.
